Falkirk Council manages and maintains approximately 16,000 housing properties in the Falkirk Council area. Falkirk Council is committed to improving the housing stock throughout the Falkirk Council area of operations whilst still maintaining the services to high levels of Best Value principals. Falkirk Council expects that our housing stock will meet the EESSH (Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing) by 2020. Ground Works to Council Housing properties within the Falkirk Council area of operation as part of the on-going Building Maintenance Division (BMD) Contracts Section contractual programme. The framework is for the provision Ground Labouring and Brick Works, both Labour Works and Materials. The works will include but is not limited to Brick walls, Tar paths, Foundations, Stone chips, Concrete steps & edgings, Hedge & Fence removal, Excavations (for driveways), Landscaping, Reduction of ground level, Brick and slab ramps, Slabbing work, Block & pavior repair, Removal and refit of metal ramps, CAT scanning to locate underground non-metallic pipes, cabling, utilities, ducts and avoidance thereof.. Lotting is not applicable to this tender process, due to the complexity of contract management involving co-ordinating multiple works disciplines within a programme of works. Multiple contractors for this element would impact the ability to effectively co-ordinate multiple requirements into a programme of works.
