Provision of Corporate Clothing & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Notice Description
HES has a requirement for supply of corporate clothing. HES is split into various Directorates who will have different requirements for corporate clothing. The contract is split into 3 separate Lots. - Lot 1 - Waterproof Clothing - Lot 2 - Corporate Clothing - Lot 3 - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Lot 3 will potentially be reserved for a Supported Business.
Lot Information
Waterproof Clothing
HES has a requirement for Waterproof Jackets and Trousers in various colours (colours TBC) HES is split into various Directorates who will have different requirements for corporate clothing. The 3 main ones are explained below. Within Commercial & Tourism, there are approximately 450 permanent staff that have an annual allocation of uniform issued in March/April each year. There are five different uniform types for visitor facing staff - Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, formal dress for sites and casual dress for sites and the Ranger Service. In addition HES has Seasonal staff who are employed each year to assist over the busy tourist periods. There are approximately 150 seasonal staff that may change from year to year and will be appointed at the start of the season in April however, some further staff start around June. As such Seasonal Orders will be provided to the supplier close to the start of the season. This will reduce the time the supplier has between receiving the orders and time of delivery compared to the Permanent staff. The successful supplier will be required to Tax Tab all clothing items with the exception of footwear. There are approximately 250 members in the Conservation Directorate who will require clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE). There are 4 regions, South, Central, North and Edinburgh which are further split into Depots. Staff are issued their allocation of PPE in May each year or when required. Occasionally there will be a requirement for new staff to get PPE throughout the year. There are approximately 130 staff in the Heritage Directorate who will also require clothing from the 3 Lots. There will also be a requirement for new members of staff to be provided with clothing and PPE. This directorate is responsible for surveying, recoding and designating Scotland's historic environment as well as looking after the National Record of the historic environment. HES has numerous logo's which will need to be applied to certain garments, for those garments that cannot have a logo, then an HES tax tab will be affixed. Suppliers will also be required to hold stocks (as agreed by HES) of the most popular items in specific sizes and styles to allow for speedier fulfilment of orders.
