Summary of the contracting process

The Tayside Procurement Consortium, representing Angus Council, Dundee City Council, Perth & Kinross Council, and Tayside Contracts, has awarded a contract for the maintenance of audio-visual equipment. This contract targets services within educational establishments and corporate buildings across these councils, where heavily invested interactive technology such as interactive whiteboards and projectors are frequently used. The procurement was initiated on July 1, 2018, and the contract period extends until June 30, 2020. The total contract value is £50,000, with active maintenance services needed for various audio-visual presentation equipment.

This opportunity presents significant growth potential for suppliers in the ICT maintenance sector, especially those experienced in servicing audio-visual technology, including interactive whiteboards, projectors, and similar devices. Businesses specialising in educational technology support, IT services, and equipment maintenance would be well positioned to compete for any future tenders in this area. Furthermore, firms with a proven track record in responsive services for public sector contracts could leverage this to establish long-term relationships with the councils involved.
