Notice Description

The University of Edinburgh Building Services invites competitive tenders for an inspection, testing, maintenance and remedial services contract to the University of Edinburgh's Estate of approximately 900 plus varied Local Extract Ventilation systems and Fume Cupboard Systems. This project will be divided into 2 lots. We will apply a two-stage Restricted Procedure. For each lot, bidders must self-certify adherence to selection criteria via the ESPD (Scotland) on PCS-T. Suppliers may be required to submit Means of Proof at a later stage. Specific selection requirements are detailed in Section III of this Notice are the same for each lot unless otherwise indicated. When completing the ESPD, bidders must have regard for the specific requirements in this Notice. Following assessment of submitted ESPDs, we will receive tenders from shortlisted bidders.

Kings Building

Lot 1 Kings Building The University is seeking the appointment of suppliers for the provision of inspection, testing, maintenance and remedial services to the University of Edinburgh's Estate of approximately 900 + varied Local Extract Ventilation systems and Fume Cupboard Systems. For Lot 1 the current number of Fume Cupboards & LEV System are 677. This figure is not exhaustive and units may be added/deleted as required. Bidders should note that some of the systems are situated in restricted areas which will require those carrying out the services, to follow strict University and Home Office procedures. More detail will be provided at ITT stage. It is intended that the contract is in place for an initial 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year in total. The University will not appoint the same service provider for both lots. If a bidder is successful in Lots 1 & 2 then they will be allocated the highest value lot (Lot 1). The second placed supplier for Lot 2 will be awarded the contract for that area. The supplier with the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT) will be awarded to each Lot.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if there are any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015

Lot 2 Meds & Vets Central & Moray House Campus The University is seeking the appointment of suppliers for the provision of inspection, testing, maintenance and remedial services to the University of Edinburgh's Estate of approximately 900 + varied Local Extract Ventilation systems and Fume Cupboard Systems. For Lot 2 the current number of Fume Cupboards & LEV System: 276. This figure is not exhaustive and units may be added/deleted as required.
