    "description": "Renfrewshire, like other areas across Scotland has an ageing population. By 2037, the percentage of our population aged 75+ is set to rise from 8% to 14%. The percentage aged 65-75 is set to rise from 10% to 15%, and the number of people diagnosed with dementia is likely to increase significantly by 2030. Supporting this ageing population at home in their own community is a core aim of Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership and we seek to work in partnership with our providers and other agencies to allow people to remain safe and independent at home with appropriate care and support to meet their needs. For some however, there may be a need for more complex care and Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership are keen to meet with current or prospective providers of Care Homes for Adults to discuss our likely future needs for care of older adults with dementia and complex care needs and adults under 65 with complex care needs in Renfrewshire. We would like to invite all interested providers to attend an engagement event, to be held in Johnstone Town Hall on Thursday 22 March 2018 from 3.30 - 5 p.m. A brief presentation will be given by Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership staff, setting out anticipated population needs, followed by a Q & A session.
