Summary of the contracting process

The Tayside Procurement Consortium is inviting tenders for the "Provision, Support and Maintenance of a Secure Email Filtering and Gateway Solution" aimed at supporting Dundee City Council and Perth & Kinross Council. The procurement process is currently in the active tender stage, with submissions open until 12th April 2018. The project, valued at £100,000, falls under the goods category and is being conducted using an open procedure. Notice Title

Provision, Support and Maintenane of a Secure Email Filtering and Gateway Solution

Notice Description

Provision, Support and Maintenance of a Secure Email Filtering and Gateway Solution for Dundee City Council and Perth & Kinross Council.

Lot Information

Lot 1

Dundee City Council (DCC) and Perth & Kinross Council (PKC) are looking to procure a new flexible email filtering and gateway solution which in the first instance would be on-premise with the ability to moving to the cloud at a time in the future during the contract period. An On-premise solution has been identified as the optimum for providing the greatest resilience in the current Purchaser's ICT infrastructure. The expectation from this service would be an appliance hosted in each of the Councils. In this environment the authority themselves will be responsible for all upgrades/patching etc. The Purchaser themselves will monitor the application of the rules and proactively adjust for false positives. However, the system should have self-learning capabilities which will reduce the need for administration intervention. Similarly, the purchaser themselves will release emails following an agreed process.

Renewal: 4.2.2 The Purchaser shall have the option of extending the contract (either singly or in phases) for a further period (or periods) of up to one year after the expiry of the term.
