Abuse and Trauma Service works closely with children and their families providing an Abuse and Trauma Recovery Service to aid the recovery process for children who have been the victim of sexual, physical and/or emotional abuse.

Lot 1
The service supports the recovery process for children and young people up to age of 18 who have been victims of sexual, physical and/or emotional abuse. Support Workers use counselling skills, art, play and other forms of creative communication, to help children make sense of their experiences and encourage them to develop trusting relationships with safe boundaries in the future. They also help families to protect their children from further abuse.. This service is covered in Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 under the "light touch" Regime - under the terms of the Act the requirement to detail the contact award criteria is not applicable.
