Summary of the contracting process

The Elderpark Housing Association Limited, located in Glasgow, is currently conducting a tendering process for the "Elderpark H.A. Reactive and Void Repairs Contract: 2019-2024". This project falls within the housing and community amenities sector and aims to appoint a contractor for a multi-trade repair and maintenance service for tenanted and void properties over a five-year period, starting from 1st April 2019. The tender is in the planning stage, with a submission deadline of 15th June 2018. The estimated value of the contract is £2,500,000, and it will be executed under a selective procurement method, specifically a restricted procedure.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in construction and maintenance services, particularly those with expertise in trades such as plumbing, roofing, and electrical work. Companies that meet the financial prerequisites, with an average yearly turnover of at least £1 million over the past three years, and hold relevant certifications, such as Gas Safe or NICEIC, will be well-positioned to compete effectively. The requirement for a 24/7 emergency service also suggests that firms equipped to handle urgent repair needs will have an advantage. Interested businesses should prepare to demonstrate their experience in similar projects and their capacity to meet the rigorous selection criteria outlined by the Housing Association.
