Forthbank Stadium Disabled Adaptations
Notice Description
Stirling Council are seeking suitably qualified suppliers to provide adaptations to Forthbank Stadium. The adaptations consist of the removal of existing seating and creating a new concrete foundation; followed by the installation of a pre-fabricated disabled access plinth installed within the seating area. Minor alterations to existing seating are also required, including alterations to existing grab rails. 11 existing seats will be removed in order to accommodate 3 wheelchair users and 3 helper seats. The works will enable wheelchair users and their carers to access the stadium seating and participate in spectator sports taking place at Forthbank. The position of the seating will be in a covered area to provide shelter in inclement weather. There will also be an accessible ramp to allow for speedy exit in an emergency. All works will comply with current Health & Safety requirements for stadium accessibility. Stirling Council is looking to tender for the works from a single supplier.

"description": "Health and Safety The football stadium will remain open and operational during the contract period. The contractor should take this into account when programming the works. The contractor should ensure that all information provided in the Pre-Construction Information is accounted for in their submission. Welfare Facilities Contractors are required to provide their own welfare facilities and storage throughout the duration of the contract. Contractors will be asked to provide their proposals for welfare at the pre-start meeting. Invoicing Procedures The payment mechanism is defined within the SBCC Minor Works Building contract with Contractors Design for use in Scotland and in line with the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009. Up to Practical Completion interim certificates will be issued at monthly intervals as agreed between the Employer and the Contractor at the pre-start meeting. Under the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009, the Contractor can submit their valuation 7 days prior to the \"due date\" for the Employer's consideration. If no valuation has been submitted by the Contractor, the Employer can, after the due date, under their valuation of the works and submit a certificate to the Contractor not later than 5 days after the due date stating the valuation amount. The Employer has 14 days from the \"due date\" to issue payment to the Contractor.
