Summary of the contracting process

The River Clyde Homes has initiated a procurement process titled "Ad-Hoc Dry Rot Works," aimed at contracting services for dry rot surveys and remedial works across several properties in the Inverclyde area, UK. This open tender, falling under the works category, is currently in the award stage, with the contract valued at £1,000,000. Key deadlines included the submission closing date on 11th July 2018, with the contract signed on 10th August 2018. The contractor will be expected to manage a variety of associated trades such as joinery, plumbing, electrical work, and more for a one-year term, with potential extensions available. The buyer is keen on ensuring that potential contractors demonstrate their technical capacity and experience through the submission of relevant documentation.

This tender presents a substantial business opportunity for construction and remediation firms, particularly those with expertise in dry rot treatment and general building services. Companies with a strong resource base in varied trades, including but not limited to joinery and plumbing, will find themselves well-positioned to compete. Furthermore, businesses that can showcase a track record of delivering similar projects successfully will be more likely to attract the attention of River Clyde Homes. Involvement in this project could also enhance a company's local presence through community benefits, as the buyer emphasises contributions to the Inverclyde area through targeted recruitment and other initiatives.
