Lot 1
East Dunbartonshire Council operates a collection service of recyclate from approximately 43,000 households within the Council boundary throughout the year as well as from trade premises. EDC operate a dual stream collection of recycling. One collection containing mixed paper including newspapers, magazines, office paper and cardboard packaging and the other containing steel & aluminium cans (including aerosol cans), mixed glass and plastic bottles (all types). Towards the end of the year EDC will move to single collection vehicles but the waste streams will remain the same. EDC also collect mixed paper & cardboard at our civic amenity facilities which is a higher quality material which will also be transferred to the supplier for disposal. EDC require the Service Provider to provide facilities for the receipt, segregation, treatment and transport of Recyclate or bulking facilities for onward transportation to your treatment facility.
Options: Should waste streams change over the period of the contract the council reserves the right to add or remove any item from the list of recyclable products - any additions will be at current market rates and as agreed between the supplier and the Council
Renewal: Council reserve the right to extend this contract by up to 24 months in any increment at their sole descretion
