CVHA are inviting consultants to tender for an opportunity to become part of their Professional Services Consultancy Framework for works carried out within their Development department. This framework will be over the next 3+1+1 years beginning August 2018.

Lot Information

Lot 1

The provision of a Quantity Surveying services appointed by the client to administer the contract between the employer and the contractor. Please refer to Appendix A - RICS Quantity Surveyor Services for full details of the type of services CVG may require. The contract administrator's role will generally include: - Inviting and processing tenders. - Preparing contract documents for execution. - Issuing instructions such as variations, prime cost sums or making good defects. - Chairing construction progress meetings. - Preparing and issuing construction progress reports. - Agreeing defects reporting procedures. - Ensuring that project documentation is issued to the client. - Issuing interim certificates. - Certifying practical completion, including ensuring appointed contractors have commissioned installed measures, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the design specification and in conformance with relevant statutory regulations. - Collating and issuing schedules of defects. - Issuing the certificate of making good defects. - Agreeing the final account. - Issuing the final certificate. Confirmation that the necessary guarantees, warranties, (including Insurance backed) are in place. This may include the involvement of additional refurbishment measures such as: - Situations where a variety of alterations are being made to an existing dwelling, e.g. window replacement and new insulation - Refurbishment and regeneration schemes covering a large number of dwellings. This service shall be provided by competent, experienced professionals who can provide evidence of one of the following or equal and equivalent: - Quantity Surveying degree with Membership of RICS - Chartered Project Management Surveyor Please note these requirements must apply to the person(s) who will be running the project day to day and they must have experience in domestic buildings. All Consultants must have, or be willing to obtain, ISO 9001 and hold valid CSCS Cards throughout the duration of contract.

Renewal: Two single year extensions.
