The National Galleries of Scotland is looking for a strategic creative partner to help it reposition its work and develop a new 'brand world'. This will support a key organisational aim to reach and engage more audiences and diverse groups. The outputs will include a new visual identity including refreshed logo(s), fonts, colours, illustrative and photography styles and tone of voice across all elements of the brand. The new refreshed NGS Strategy gives us strong possibilities to innovate, and we are looking forward to working with a creative partner who will challenge and stimulate us in order to help us achieve our strategic aims. These are: Increased participation: involve and co-create; Greater impact: stand out as the best; Investment: be more self sufficient. Our cultural change also means becoming more audience focused, insight-guided, more outcome-orientated, more cross-disciplinary (internally and with partners), more innovative and interactive and more personalised.

The objectives of this procurement for the National Galleries are to obtain best value for money, comply with European Legislation and arrive at a way of working that is beneficial and transparent for the National Galleries and Service provider alike. This procurement will be conducted through the use of the Restricted Procedure. The ESPD will be used as a downsizing tool in this procedure. It is the National Galleries intention to shortlist to a maximum of 6 Service Providers but the National Galleries Reserves the right to invite in excess of this number of Service Providers in the event of a tie. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in Regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. The objective criteria for shortlisting candidates in detailed under section III of this Contract Notice. Full tender documentation will only be released at stage 2 of this procedure.. The contract will run for a period of 18 months with the option to extend by a variable period not exceeding 12 months.
