Notice Description

This requirement has arisen as to a practice vacancy for providing primary medical services located at Maryfield Medical Centre, 28 Mains Loan, Dundee, DD4 7AA, to a list of approximately 7,100 patients. NHS Tayside wishes to select a new service provider with the capacity and capability to meet the needs of these patients by delivering high quality, person centred clinical services in a primary care setting, all in accordance with NHS Tayside's requirements set out in Appendix 1 ("Requirement"). The services will build on existing best practice, and focus on a community and health and social care approach. The clinical services will be delivered in an environment that provides patient care of a standard consistent with that of similar services provided elsewhere within NHS Tayside.

This requirement has arisen as to a practice vacancy for providing primary medical services located at Maryfield Medical Centre, 28 Mains Loan, Dundee, DD4 7AA, to a list of approximately 7,100 patients. NHS Tayside wishes to select a new service provider with the capacity and capability to meet the needs of these patients by delivering high quality, person centred clinical services in a primary care setting, all in accordance with NHS Tayside's requirements set out in Appendix 1 ("Requirement"). The services will build on existing best practice, and focus on a community and health and social care approach. The clinical services will be delivered in an environment that provides patient care of a standard consistent with that of similar services provided elsewhere within NHS Tayside. It will be important that Applicants involved in the planning and/or delivery of existing schemes and services can demonstrate that they have sufficient capacity so as not to prejudice delivery of primary medical services under any other contract an Applicant may have with NHS Tayside or pre-existing schemes or the ability of NHS Tayside itself to deliver services. The successful Applicant will be required to enter into a contract with NHS Tayside on the terms of the General Medical Services Contract ("GMS Contract") the form of which is prescribed by The National Health Service (General Medical Services Contracts) (Scotland) Regulations 2018 as amended, or replaced from time to time. Performance by the successful Applicant under the terms of the GMS Contract will be subject to these Regulations available at: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2018/66/contents/made. It is a requirement that all applicants meet the criteria of section 17L of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended. Interviews are expected to be held in the week commencing 22nd October 2018
