Summary of the contracting process

Transport Scotland is seeking bids for the "Park and Ride Bus Shuttle Service for the Solheim Cup", a tender aimed at providing bus services from Perth and Stirling to Gleneagles during the event scheduled from September 8 to September 15, 2019. The procurement method is open and falls under the services category, with a total value of £500,000. The deadline for bid submissions is March 22, 2019, and potential bidders must ensure compliance with the specified contract requirements and demonstrate the capability to manage and transport up to 15,000 passengers daily.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for bus operators and transport service providers looking to expand their operational footprint, particularly those with experience in large-scale event logistics. Businesses that offer modern, environmentally friendly vehicles outfitted with necessary amenities, such as air conditioning and Wi-Fi, and can demonstrate impeccable customer service standards would be well-positioned to compete successfully for this contract. The ability to ensure safe and efficient passenger transport during a high-profile event like the Solheim Cup will be a key differentiator for bidders.
