The Authority is seeking to appoint a suitably skilled, resourced and experienced contractor to undertake an extension and internal alterations to existing classrooms at Sacred Heart Primary School, Penicuik.

The Authority is seeking to appoint a suitably skilled, resourced and experienced contractor to undertake an extension and internal alterations to existing classrooms at Sacred Heart Primary School, Penicuik. The project requires an experienced contractor in new build and refurbishments of school buildings. The works will include substructure and superstructure works for new extension, demolition, services alterations, formation of altered classrooms, new ancillary rooms and welfare facilities and reception areas. The building is to remain occupied during the works by the school therefore, care to be considered to enable uninterrupted delivery to the school provision. Also, consideration to be taken for the phasing of the project and it's critical elements. This will be set out in detail and mutually agreed as part of the award process at 2nd stage ITT. Phasing details will be included within the tender documentation. Asbestos has been identified within the building this should be considered to be removed as part of the works.
