Summary of the contracting process

Scottish Enterprise is seeking a contractor for the "Planned, Preventative and Reactive Maintenance" project, which aims to provide maintenance services across 12 of its offices in Scotland. This open tender will commence on 1st April 2019 and run for an initial six-month period until 30th September 2019, with a possible extension for three months. The tender process will conclude on 7th February 2019, and Scottish Enterprise, located at Atrium Court, 50 Waterloo Street, Glasgow, is classified under the economic affairs sector within the regional authority context.

This short-term contract presents an opportunity for maintenance service providers, particularly those with expertise in facilities management, to establish a foothold with a central purchasing body. Companies that are well-suited to compete include those that can demonstrate relevant experience, possess the necessary insurance coverage, and meet the financial criteria stipulated by Scottish Enterprise. Additionally, businesses should be prepared for the anticipated larger, strategic contract expected to be tendered in summer 2019, which could result in ongoing work opportunities.
