Notice Description

The Midlothian and Borders Tourism Action group are at the end of a 2 year programme funded by Scottish Enterprise and Borders Railway Blueprint to deliver business to business activity supporting the tourism industry in both areas. The project has delivered some excellent B2B work and surpassed targets at every stage with recent results including new products, new collaborations and the development of capacity within the tourism travel trade. Part of the feedback from the digital sessions during this project addressed the need for more support for digital marketing. As a result of this, the group have successfully secured funding for another 18 month phase 2 project for a consumer facing digital marketing project as a legacy to the original project and a natural progression to the current B2B activity.

Their role will aim to secure the skilled human resources and creative talent to deliver digital destination marketing activities for an 18-month period for the Midlothian and Scottish Borders regions. The focus of activity will be on the use of digital marketing channels to deliver increased tourism product awareness to both Scottish and UK consumer markets.. This contracted is being joint funded by Borders Railway Blueprint, LEADER and Scottish Enterprise.
