This business sector is at risk of infiltration by Serious and Organised Crime (SOC). NHSGG&C has therefore enhanced its criteria to participate and has implemented its SOC mitigation protocol.

NHSGG&C and HSCP require a service to transport older patients returning home from Assessment Units, Assessment Wards, Discharge Lounges, designated wards and ED's at the QEUH and Glasgow Royal Infirmary and resettling them in their home and providing support which may include but not limited to getting provisions, making refreshments and securing property on leaving. Patients may have a requirement to be transported in wheelchairs and remain in the wheelchairs for the duration of the journey. Ramps or electric ramps should be provided. Wheelchair and patient require to be secured in transit using wheelchair floor lock and seatbelt. There is an expectation that the Economic Operator provides wheelchairs to transfer patients. The requirement for this is Circa 1600 referrals per annum. The service also supports the intermediate care services which involves taking older patients from acute sites to step up units and taking older patients from step down beds in nursing homes in their own homes or with an alternative care provider. The requirement for this is circa 1000 referrals per annum. The current operating hours are 2pm to 2 am. There may be a requirement to increase activity during peaks of demand ie:-during winter surge. Journeys stated are for indication only and are not binding on NHSGG&C or HSCP's. The number of full journeys stated anywhere within the documentation is provided for indication only. NHSGG&C reserves the right to adjust the volume of services in line with it's needs. Availability, punctuality and reliability of the service are essential to this contract as are issues concerning treatment and care of patients. This business sector is at risk of infiltration by Serious and Organised Crime (SOC). NHSGG&C has therefore enhanced its criteria to participate and has implemented its SOC mitigation protocol. If the sums in the accounts are not expressed in UK Sterling, please provide copies of the originals and a UK Sterling rate equivalent copy utilising the \"pound buys\" exchange rate applicable on date of contract advert. The auditors must certify the equivalent copy accounts. The original accounts should have been signed and dated by Directors and Auditors or marked as draft. If a tenderer is exempt to this requirement under the Companies Act 2006, or under the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006, then three years unaudited accounts should be provided together with a statement fro your principle banker as detailed below. This is a pass/fail question. Any EO failing this will be excluded from participation in the Tender. Should an EO wish the financial information from their Parent Company or Group to be taken into consideration, then a Parent Company Guarantee must be completed and returned. If a duly signed Parent Company Guarantee in this form is not included in the response, the financial information of the organisation submitting the questionnaire will be assessed.
