Provision of psychological first aid and related mental health services for staff who have been exposed to traumatic incidents. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is conducting pre-market research and will undertake research meetings with the first five interested potential tenderers who are able to demonstrate with their expression of interest that they are capable of delivering these requirements to the Service across Scotland. The questions which potential tenderers will be asked for views on are: 1. Please set out your thinking in terms of the latest/leading edge best practice in terms of Post Incident Support/Trauma Services and how best an organisation such as the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service might implement them 2. Please advise of any technological or clinical innovations you know of which are in development and which may become available for service improvement over the next four years 3. Please advise of any ways in which innovative service delivery methods could be used across an organisation such as SFRS Candidates will have 30 minutes to present their ideas followed by 15 minutes of questions and answers. It should be noted that participation in these meetings will not form part of the subsequent competition and no organisation which does not take part will be prevented from participating in that competition on such a basis. Presentations will all take place on Tuesday 9th April. This is the only day available due to existing commitments. The Contracting Authority will run a restricted/two stage competition in respect of these requirements. In order to be selected to tender, potential tenderers will have the following minimum levels of insurance: Employers Liability 10M GBP Public Liability 10M GBP Professional Liability 5M GBP Staff involved in the delivery of these services will be required to hold the appropriate professional qualifications which will include PVG clearance checks Candidates shall be required to demonstrate how they ensure that appropriate staff are available at all times in contracts of this size and nature. Candidates shall be required to demonstrate successful delivery of the required services in an Emergency Services context over a widespread geographical area. The contract shall be awarded on the basis of 70% on quality criteria and 30% cost criteria. This requirement is covered by Section 7 and Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, and is sub-threshold for those purposes. It will therefore be treated in accordance with the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.
