Lot Information

Caithness

Provision of an outcomes focused Floating Housing Support Service for Clients who have been assessed as unintentionally homeless or threatened with homelessness and: - who are considered to be a vulnerable person - including clients with health problems, those sleeping rough and those in temporary/insecure accommodation; - who have been subject to or are at risk of abuse or neglect; - who are making the transition from being in residential, interim or transitional accommodation to a lesser supported environment; - who are struggling to sustain their tenancy (both private rented and social rented sectors) and require assistance to maintain their tenancy; and - who have been allocated a SSST and require to engage with short term housing support to ensure that they adhere to their conditions of tenancy. The aim of the service is to support individuals to successfully maintain their tenancy by providing short term housing support to meet the Council's legislative duty. The support will be flexible to meet the Clients' changing housing needs. The support provided will be tailored to meet the housing needs of each Client, providing those with the necessary life skills to make the most out of their lives giving them a better quality of life and to support them meet their full potential. The service should be scheduled around the needs of the Client and operate between 09.00 and 17.00 hours, Monday -Friday. No services will be delivered on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday and May Day. Lot 1 includes the following settlements, Wick, John O'Groats, Bettyhill, Durness, Kinlochbervie, Helmsdale, Dubeath and Lybster. The settlements are given as a guide only. The expected/approximate average hours per week is 133.. The maximum hourly rate is GBP 18.50. Maximum of 2 service providers appointed to Lot 1. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. Note this service is not a social work service. This service is being commissioned by The Highland Council -Community Services.

Wester Ross, Skye, Kyle of Lochalsh

Accommodation Based - Short Term Housing Support Service

The Service provider will set-up, operate and manage a service that will provide accommodation for up to 38 individual Service Users in one designated zone within the Inner Moray Firth area.The Service Provider will provide short-term accommodation with support to vulnerable individuals with a key objective of resettlement. Individuals referred to this service may be leading a chaotic lifestyle because of substance misuse or other addictions, offending or at risk of offending, because of homelessness, have been "looked after" children or all of these. Individuals may also have a range of health needs e.g. mental health, learning disabilities, physical disability etc. For clarity, we would expect the providers to assist on a day to day basis with such needs, rather than providing direct medical or therapeutic input. The support provided will be tailored to meet the needs of each referred Service User, providing those with the necessary life skills to make the most out of their lives giving them a better quality of life and to support them meet their full potential. The support will be flexible to meet the person's changing needs, with a key aim to enable Service Users to sustain and maintain their current and future tenancies.. The maximum hourly rate is GBP 19.88. This is a single supplier framework. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
