The Authority is seeking Contractor(s) to provide, install and service two CNC routers and two laser cutters.

4.1 Equipment List Please refer to Appendix F for full details of the required equipment. 4.2 CNC Routers The machines must conform to all current safety regulations and have the CE mark of European standard qualification. Our preference is for a UK/European built machine which has an accessible service/support plan and is capable of importing designs from a range of file formats (STL) via included intuitive educational interface software. It will cut a wide variety of materials at speeds suitable for volume output as well as one off detailed design applications. The smaller of the 2 CNC machines will be fitted with a 4th rotary axis and 3D scanning attachment. Both machines must be fully enclosed and include: Vacuum bed Tooling package High RPM for heavy duty cutting (6000rpm) Integrated dust extractor Suitable extraction fully fitted and ready to use Software licence The Maximum footprint of the larger machine is approx: Height 1500mm Width 1800mm Depth 1000mm Cutting Area approx. 1200mm x 600mm For illustrative purposes only, possible models include Denford 6600 for the larger machine and Denford 2600 for the smaller machine. Other models which meet the requirements will also be considered. 4.3 Laser Cutters 2 x Class 1 Lasers fully enclosed with protective covers. The machines must conform to all current safety regulations and have the CE mark of European standard qualification. Our preference is for a UK/European built machine which has an accessible service/support plan and is capable of importing designs from a range of file formats (Adobe illustrator/AutoCAD) via included intuitive educational interface software. They will cut a wide variety of materials at speeds suitable for volume output as well as one off detailed design applications. Maximum machine size: Height 1100mm Width 2100mm Depth 1300mm Laser Output : 1 x 100 watt & 1 x 50 watt sealed, air cooled aluminium tube. (5 - 7 year tube life) Irrigation 6 PSI Airflow Pump (Compressor) Extraction Communication Via USB Port Blade Bed Or Similar - additional to standard honeycomb bed to allow for the processing of heavier/thicker material For illustrative purposes only, possible models include CAD CAM Technology Laser Model FB15100 for the larger machine and CAD CAM Technology Laser Model FB750 for the smaller machine. Other models which meet the requirements will also be considered. 4.4 Delivery, set up and training The machines are to be delivered early June to: Edinburgh Napier University Room B.20 Merchiston Campus 10 Colinton Road Edinburgh EH10 5DT Machines will require to be installed and training provided for 2 technicians. 4.5 Servicing and Maintenance We require a UK based supplier who can provide servicing and parts replacement for the CNC Routers and Laser Cutters.

Renewal: Optional for service/maintenance contract
