Provision of Ophthalmology Phaco Machines and Associated Consumables
Notice Description
NWTC require to implement a Contract to provide Phaco Emulsification Machines with Handpieces, cassettes and associated consumables. The Board will consider two options - LOT 1 to purchase the Phaco Machines with Handpieces and associated consumables OR LOT 2 to purchase associated consumables with FOC loan of Phaco Machines with Handpieces.

Purchase Phaco Machines and Handpieces (Capital) and Associated Consumables (Revenue)
NWTC Board will consider this option to capital purchase seven (7) Phaco Machines with Handpieces and purchase the associated consumables through revenue. At the moment there are 3 ophthalmic theatres with a view to this rising in the next 2 years with an ophthalmic expansion to a total 6 theatres. Also it would be expected that we would have 1 spare unit for possible equipment failures and issues. Our current usage is circa 7,000 procedures packs, this is expected to increase annually. Full details of our requirement will be provided in our specification.. Quantities stated anywhere within the documentation is provided for indication only and is not binding to NWTC Board.
Options: The Board reserve the right to purchase associated products.
Renewal: 3 year contract with option to extend for 2 x 12 month periods.
Purchase of Consumables with Machines to be loaned FOC for duration of the ContractThe Board are seeking a provider of Phaco Emulsification Machines with associated handpieces, cassettes and consumables. It is anticipated that 7 machines will be required with associated consumables. The current situation within the Board is the machines and handpieces are provided free on loan for the duration of the Contract, and the associated consumables are purchased from Revenue. The Board may consider this arrangement again or, consider purchasing the machines and handpieces via Capital Expenditure should this prove to be more economically advantageous. Options: The Board reserves the right to purchase associated products.
