The University of Edinburgh wishes to appoint a specialist Equipment Supplier for the supply, installation and technical services relating to a new autoclave, to be located in the Large Animal Research Facility (LARIF) at Easter Bush.

The construction of the Large Animal Research and Imaging Facility (LARIF) at Easter Bush is currently being concluded. The Facility will include the Wellcome Trust-funded Critical Care Laboratory for Large Animals currently at Dryden Farm, which supports the study of large animal biology with all the resources of a human hospital. It will also offer advanced imaging capabilities to advance neurobiology, anatomy and physiology in large animals, as well as to provide capacity to study infectious diseases and evaluate control strategies. The University requires an Autoclave for the facility with stainless steel rectangular front loading chamber, stainless steel jacket with vertical sliding doors, volume in the region of 1200 liters. High throughput sterilisation of porous and non-porous loads, bottled fluid products, glass & plastic ware (polycarbonate or polysulphone), wrapped and unwrapped metal instruments, lab coats, automatic leak-rate test, vacuum cycle, air detector, air ballast, Bowie Dick Test and waste (ACDP Cat I & II pathogens only).

Options: Throughout the ITT a number of costed options are requested, highlighted as 'Costed Option'. These will not be scored as part of the tender process but if funds permit may be procured once a formal decision has been notified: Discard boxes/baskets Electrically adjustable trolley Supply and installation in accordance with GLP regulations

Renewal: Additional warranties may be purchased at the time of award or in subsequent years.
