Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government is currently engaged in the procurement process for the "Web Based & Proprietary Client Device Framework," with an estimated value of £80 million. This initiative falls under the goods category, specifically focusing on items related to digital client devices. The procurement is at the Tender stage, and submissions must be completed by 17 September 2019. This framework is targeted at suppliers capable of providing innovative web-based and proprietary devices for use across the Scottish public sector, with delivery expected within the UK. Interested parties can submit their bids electronically via the designated online platform.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses operating in the technology and electronics sectors, particularly those specialising in web-based solutions and proprietary devices. Companies that can demonstrate compliance with environmental management standards and those prepared to engage in community benefits initiatives will be particularly well-suited to compete. Moreover, there are opportunities for subcontracting, which may benefit small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and third-sector organisations looking to expand their market presence through collaborative efforts with larger contractors.
