Notice Description

Renfrewshire Council is seeking a Provider(s) to deliver the following three training programmes: Moving and Assisting Training; Dealing with Emergency Situations; Extended Personal Care Training Specific bespoke training for all courses will be required for other groups of staff and other clients with specific needs.

Lot Information

Moving and Assisting Training

Moving and Assisting Training will cover, as a minimum, the following areas: Legal regulations, guidelines and policies Anatomy and physiology of the spine Cause and extent of manual assisting injuries Weight guidelines and moving loads Risk assessment Principles of efficient movement Efficient movement in practice Hoist, chair and bed transfers/manoeuvres Walking and falls procedures Bed moves and slide sheets Training on specific types of specialised equipment Wheelchairs

Renewal: 3 years with the option to extend for up to 1 further year.

Dealing with Emergency Situations

The provision and delivery of this training programme will cover at minimum the following areas: Resuscitation Bleeding Unconsciousness Communication Contents of First Aid Box

Renewal: 3 years with the option to extend for up to 1 further year.

Extended Personal Care Training

The course will cover the following topics: Catheter care Stoma care Skin care/Tissue viability

Renewal: 3 years with the option to extend for up to 1 further year.
