A High Precision Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) is required to conduct precision measurement and gear classification for the AFRC. The core requirements for the High Precision CMM are detailed below: - Volumetric Length Measurement Error (E0) should not exceed 0.002 mm when measuring a length of 1000 mm in accordance with ISO 10360-2 (copy of certificates to be provided) - Working volume should be no less than x: 1200 mm, y: 1000 mm and z: 700 mm - System will have an active pneumatic damping system to counter vibration - Contact and non-contact probing systems - Integrated rotary table as 4th axis - throughput increase - Aerofoil analysis capability - Gear analysis capability (internal and external)
