Providing a clean, welcoming and safe environment to all staff, visitors and clients is paramount to SE. This Invitation to Tender (ITT) will establish a single, three-year contract (with the option to extend for a further one-year period) to maintain a clean office environment, and ensure full compliance with SE's environmental obligations whilst ensuring an effective and considered approach to the expenditure of public funds. SE owns Building Nine, Edinburgh Bio-Quarter located on the Edinburgh Bio-Quarter site on Little France Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4UX. Providing a clean, welcoming and safe environment to all staff, visitors and clients is paramount to SE. This Invitation to Tender (ITT) will establish a single, three-year contract (with the option to extend for a further one-year period) to maintain a clean office environment, and ensure full compliance with SE's environmental obligations whilst ensuring an effective and considered approach to the expenditure of public funds. Contract services to incorporate: Internal cleaning of selected offices tenanted & vacant, Laboratories, meeting rooms corridors, staircases & landings, reception & breakout areas, lifts, tea prep & kitchen areas, toilets and showers; Internal (landlords areas only) and external window cleaning; Supply, replenishment and management of cleaning consumables; Supply and management of sanitary requirements; and Specific building requirements for the Edinburgh Bio-Quarter Nine building are identified in the Edinburgh Bio-Quarter Nine Cleaning specification document detail. (Appendix A provides more detail) It is anticipated that the contract will commence on 1 February 2020 for a three-year period, with SE having the option to extend for a further one-year period. It is estimated that the value of this commission will be between GBP310,000.00 and GBP340,000.00 excluding VAT for a period of 36 months, with an option to extend for a further 12 months with a value of between GBP105,000.00 and GBP115,000.00 excluding VAT. In respect of this tender, SE considers that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 ("TUPE") may apply in respect of the incumbent contractor. SE is a Real Living Wage accredited employer. It is SE's expectation that all suppliers will pay at least the Real Living Wage to their employees engaged on this contract and to promote payment of the Real Living Wage throughout their supply chain. The bidder must be able to provide copies of their organisation's documentation procedures that meet current agreed good practice. They must set out how the bidder's organisation will carry out its policy, with a clear indication of how the arrangements are communicated to the workforce. 3.
