Summary of the contracting process

NHS Tayside, located at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, is seeking suppliers for the "NHS Scotland Bowel Screening FIT Kits, Distribution and Analysers" contract. This procurement process is currently at the Award stage, following an Open procedure tender initiated for the provision of a single vendor agreement that spans five years. The agreement focuses on the supply and distribution of the Quantitative Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) kits essential for the Scottish Bowel Screening Programme, with deadlines for submissions and awards already concluded in December 2020.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those in the healthcare and laboratory supply sectors, to expand their client base by collaborating with NHS organisations. Companies capable of developing efficient mailing and fulfilment solutions, as well as those who can ensure high-quality medical testing materials, will find themselves well-positioned to compete. Eligible bidders must meet specific turnover and insurance criteria, making this an exciting prospect for qualified suppliers aiming to establish long-term partnerships within the public health sector.
