Notice Description
North Ayrshire Council is seeking to appoint service providers to supplement their in-house provision of a repairs and maintenance service to vehicle, plant and equipment and any associated equipment fitted to vehicles. The service requirement includes repairs, services, routine planned inspections and maintenance to vehicles, plant and any associated equipment fitted to vehicles. Any work that cannot be completed in-house will be called off from this framework as and when required. The services will be delivered in North Ayrshire including the islands of Arran and Cumbrae. The scope of services is divided into 3 lots.
Lot Information
Repair and maintenance of vehicle lifts & hook loaders
Service and repair of vehicle passenger and tail lifts and truck mounted hook loaders will be required for the following; - Underfloor and inboard passenger tail lifts - Van and truck mounted tail lifts - Hook and crane mounted loaders
Renewal: This contract has an option to extend for up to another 12 months. Extensions will be at the sole discretion of North Ayrshire Council and subject to satisfactory performance and funding.
Welding and fabrication services for light/heavy commercial vehicles and plantWork will be required to the following vehicles; - Vehicles below 3.5T - Vehicles 3.5T to 7.5T - Vehicles 7.5T to 32T - Heavy grounds maintenance and equipment - General welding and fabrications
Renewal: This contract has an option to extend for up to another 12 months. Extensions will be at the sole discretion of North Ayrshire Council and subject to satisfactory performance and funding.
Service and repair of heavy and special type plant and equipmentAd-hoc service and repairs to be carried out to the following specialist plant and equipment including; o Heavy earth-moving plant and equipment o Agricultural tractors o Compact Tractors and mini-excavators o Tractor mounted attachments
Repair and maintenance of grounds maintenance vehicles, plant & hand-held equipmentAd-hoc repair and maintenance work will be required to be carried out on the following ride-on and pedestrian plant and equipment including; - Heavy grounds maintenance, plant and equipment - Light grounds vehicles - Van trailers, spraying equipment, cylinder mowers, chippers and shredders - Agricultural tractors - Compact Tractors and mini-excavators - Tractor mounted attachments

Framework Agreement for repair and maintenance of vehicle, plant and equipment - North Ayrshire Council are looking to notify the market of this future contract opportunity. It is anticipated that this will be advertised early April 2020. The procurement exercise will be carried out via the PCS-Tender E-tendering system. The estimated contract award date is mid June 2020, the contract start to be approximately 1st August 2020. Contract duration to be up to 4 years. North Ayrshire Council would welcome notes of interest at this stage. Please note, you will still be able to submit a tender for this procurement exercise without having to note your interest at this stage.
