Summary of the contracting process

Fife Council and Fife College are currently engaged in a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) procurement process titled "Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Education Taxis and Minibuses." This initiative focuses on providing transport services primarily for the conveyance of children and young people to educational establishments in Fife, UK. The procurement method is selective, falling under a restricted procedure, with the procurement process expected to be active until the end date of 13 April 2028. Interested contractors should note that mini-competitions will be run periodically throughout the DPS's lifetime, predominantly from May to July each year.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses in the transport sector, particularly those specialising in taxi services, private hire vehicles, and minibuses. Providers equipped to cater for the requirements of transporting vulnerable groups, including children and individuals needing wheelchair access, would find this procurement suitable. Additionally, companies that can commit to the necessary insurance and legal compliance while managing transport logistics effectively in the Fife area are encouraged to participate, as price will be a critical factor in awarding contracts through this system.
