Notice Description

SRUC requires the services of a professional Construction Project Manager (PM), preferably with experience in the FE/HE sector with emphasis on biological sciences, animal sciences and the environment. The role will be required to deliver the following key activities: - Work at all times with SRUC to ensure compliance the requirements and rules for ERDF funding; - Provide sufficient resources with the appropriate level of skills and expertise to deliver the project in line with SRUC's and its stakeholders' objectives; - Support the procurement of a Multidisciplinary Design Team (MDT); - Manage the multidisciplinary design team through RIBA Stages 1 - 4; - Undertake proactive Risk Management and maintain a Risk Register over the full life of the project (i.e. RIBA Stages 1 - 6); - Prepare a Project Execution Plan and establish appropriate Project Controls including but not restricted to communication, meetings, reporting and progress updates, as required; - Chair and minute formal monthly meetings throughout the full life of the project; - Provide written monthly progress reports to SRUC throughout the full life of the project; - In conjunction with the MDT Principal Designer, advise SRUC on requirements for compliance with all relevant legislation e.g. Health & Safety, Equality; - Support the procurement of a Main Contractor; - In partnership with the MDT, undertake NEC4 Project Management duties including Compensation Events, Early Warnings, Programme Acceptance and Design Acceptance processes; - Coordinate and monitor activities for building completion to be certified; - Monitor the development and issue of the Health & Safety File including Operation & Maintenance Manuals, and As Installed information; - Coordinate and monitor activities required to conclude the Building Contract including handover and close out; - Arrange, facilitate and minute a post completion and lessons learned review.
