Notice Description
The Scottish Government has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of an Offender Risk and Needs Assessment and Case Management Instrument 2020-2024. The instrument would be operated by 32 local authority Criminal Justice Social Work (CJSW) departments and within the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) on behalf of the Scottish Government, and would record details of their interactions with clients/offenders across Scotland.

See Specification of Requirements for full details. The current Risk and Needs Assessment Instrument is provided by the Level of Service/Case Management Inventory (LS/CMI). Local Authority and Scottish Prison Service IT systems are defined and configured for this instrument and approximately 1700 Local Authority Criminal Justice Social work staff and over 100 SPS staff are trained in its use.
