Notice Description

Both Councils are keen to explore the opportunity of a Partnership Management Model operating across the Catering and Cleaning/FM services of both Council areas. It is considered that this type of arrangement could offer opportunities for economies of scale, more streamlined management arrangements and best value through sharing of good practise. There are significant number of synergies in the operations of this service area given that elements of provision are delivered in line with National Legislation and a number of potential opportunities which could yield service efficiencies and improvements through time have already been identified. An external specialist contractor/agency is being sought to undertake a service review and develop a detailed Business Case and options appraisal which will explore and evaluate such service efficiencies and improvements. It is anticipated that this work would be undertaken within a 3 month period during Summer/Autumn 2020.

The purpose of the Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to support Argyll and Bute Council as lead local authority in collaboration with West Dunbartonshire Council (referred to as the "Councils") to gauge market interest in relation to undertaking a review of Facilities Management services with a view to developing an integrated service across both Councils. Both Councils are keen to explore the opportunity of a Partnership Management Model operating across the Catering and Cleaning/FM services of both Council areas. It is considered that this type of arrangement could offer opportunities for economies of scale, more streamlined management arrangements and best value through sharing of good practise.
