Notice Description
The Council have an ongoing requirement for electronic payment submission and collection (Direct Credit and Direct Debit) through BACS for payment of suppliers, payroll and revenue collection, including rent, NDR and Council Tax. The Council processes 1.2m transactions annually and BACS payment functionality is critical to the financial operation of the Council. The banking industry is working towards to deregulation of BACS which is expected to be removed by 2021 and replaced with cloud based Open Banking. The Council's current c-series software is not cloud compliant and will not support Open Banking, so alternative product options have been identified.
