1.2 Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) is a shared integrated roads and transportation service established in 2014 and provides the combined roads service for East and South Ayrshire Councils. The Service is delivered with the overall objective of improving the road and transportation service in both Council areas. 1.3 The Framework Contract scope is supply and application of carriageway surface dressing or supply and application of binder only at sites within East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire. These works may include pre patching, ironwork repairs, white lining and minor screeding works etc.

The Framework Contract scope is supply and application of carriageway surface dressing or supply and application of binder only at sites within East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire. These works may include pre patching, ironwork repairs, white lining and minor screeding works etc. The first works order (2020) shall be included in this Invitation to Tender and shall form the basis of the Framework Contract / first package of works evaluation. The Framework Contract shall be in accordance with the rights and obligations of the Employer (Client) and the Contractor (Supplier) as regulated by the NEC4 Framework Contract (June 2017). Contracts awarded through the Framework will be subject to the conditions of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Short Contract (June 2017).

Renewal: The Framework Contract is for a period to 2 years initially with the option to extend annually for a further 2 years.
