Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government is initiating a planned procurement process for a National Framework for Office Equipment & Services, with a budget of £40 million. This procurement falls under the goods category and aims to supply a variety of office equipment commodities, including multi-functional devices and managed print services, specifically for the Scottish public sector. Market consultation is set to commence soon, with interested suppliers asked to submit their responses by 30th September 2020. The anticipated future notice date is 2nd December 2020.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in office equipment and services, particularly those able to adapt their offerings in response to the changing landscape influenced by Covid-19. Companies that provide multi-functional devices, printing solutions, and managed print services would be particularly well-suited to compete in this tender. Engaging with the Scottish Government to provide insights on pricing models and additional value-added services could further enhance competitive positioning for potential bidders.
