User Involvement Through Peer Research
Notice Description
In order to enhance user involvement in service design and delivery, East Renfrewshire Community Addictions wish to develop a peer research approach. This would involve recruiting people with lived experience of addiction and addictions services and providing them with the necessary training and skills development to engage with current service users. Potential providers are sought who can demonstrate experience and expertise in developing peer research and user involvement models; together with a specialist knowledge and understanding of working with vulnerable people with addictions issues. Interested providers must be able to provide evidence of engaging with, recruiting volunteers with lived experience of addictions services and training them to undertake engagement and research with service users. A programme of peer research requires to be developed and delivered during the period September 2020 - March 2022 and therefore prospective providers must be available and have the required resources to deliver over this timeframe. The provider would work closely with the addictions service to identify service users and develop the topics for the peer research.
