Notice Description

In this tender, East Dunbartonshire Council (EDC), is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Consultant to undertake a full site inspection and condition survey of the existing gas and/or biomass boilers, heating plant and associated pipework at primary and secondary schools in the local government area of East Dunbartonshire. This is to enable EDC to highlight maintenance requirements and plan for upcoming Capital Investment to upgrade the existing boilers and heating plant.

The extent of the services are summarised as follows: - Carry out a full inspection and survey of the existing gas and/or biomass boiler, heating plant and associated pipework within each boiler room. - Inspect and review the existing fire alarm system within each boiler room to see if carbon monoxide detection in and/or around the boiler room can be provided rather than standalone detection and alarms. - Review the condition, suitability and compliance of the 'as built' installation of the above and provide an 'Inspection Report' for each boiler room. - Provide boiler room layout drawing and a schematic drawing for each boiler room. - Provide an overall 'Tracker' spreadsheet collating all finding across the full 43 number boiler rooms, as a "live" document. - Attend monthly progress meetings. - Provide a full suite of all 43 number Inspection Reports, all associated drawings and the Tracker spreadsheet on a suitably sized USB memory stick. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016
