Notice Description
The Kilmartin Museum Redevelopment project is a multi-strand project that will result in a transformation of the overall facilities on the Museum site in Kilmartin. The capital works element will involve complete redevelopment of the existing Museum and facilities and will include refurbishment of existing buildings, a new build extension and external works to car parking and landscaped grounds.

Lot 1
Kilmartin Museum Company Ltd require a suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractor for the proposed building works comprising the redevelopment of the existing Kilmartin Museum buildings and site. The works involve elements of building refurbishment, new build and external works and include: - refurbishment of the existing one storey steading building (including attic spaces) - refurbishment of the existing 4 storey museum building - one/two storey new build extension to the museum formed between the two existing structures. - new build detached services building - site works relating to improved car parking, paths and landscaping. Internal fit-out of the exhibition galleries, foyer & reception and retail area do not form part of the works and will be undertaken by a separately appointed design and build contractor.

Reference should be made in particular to projects involving a combination of refurbishment and new build, and projects in a semi-rural situation.
