Scotland for Employee Ownership (SfEO) is looking for provision of Secretariat services to support the Co-chairs in the running of the ILG. It is anticipated that the contract will commence on 18th January 2021, and terminate on 30th November 2021. This is not a regulated procurement and it is being advertised openly to seek wider competition.

Scotland for Employee Ownership (SfEO) is an Industry Leadership Group (ILG) in place to grow and strengthen employee ownership (EO) in Scotland such that: - There is a larger more sustainable EO community in Scotland - There is a world class learning environment for people working in EO Businesses - Scottish Government leverages employee ownership as a driver of economic development and wellbeing With a vision to see Scotland be the global centre of Employee Ownership excellence and success with a community of 500 employee-owned businesses by 2030, the ILG brings key figures from private and public sectors to develop and deliver an industry-led strategy for the Employee Ownership (EO) sector. As a leadership group, led by industry, working in partnership with the public sector, SfEO's unique role will be to represent EO in Scotland, influence in favour of EO and share EO best practice. It will focus on 'catalysing' rather than 'doing' and draw upon relationships within the sector and key partners to take forward specific initiatives. SfEO is looking for provision of Secretariat services to support the Co-chairs in the running of the ILG. Specifically, we are looking for someone to provide: - Regular liaison with Co-chairs to provide key updates, set board meeting agendas etc - Board meeting management, which will include preparation before and key actions after the meetings - Budget management, to include an understanding and communication of budget spend - Work Group Management, to include working with Work Group leads to update and communicate on activity plans - Marketing and PR, to include forward communication of social media to board and work groups - Stakeholder management, to include regular liaison with Scottish Government, Co-operative Development Scotland and the Employee Ownership Association - Board status management, to include recruitment of Co-Chair and Board members as required - Strategy management, to include ensuring strategy documents are up to date If required, there may be some additional activities to be undertaken such as sourcing employee-owned business for board meetings, supporting Work Leads with sourcing more group members, updating key documents, supporting board members with actions resulting from board meetings.
