Notice Title

Award of Scottish Government Inland Border Facility - Inception Workshops

Notice Description

After the end of the EU Exit implementation period on 31 December 2020, goods entering the UK from the EU will be subject to the same border entry requirements and controls as rest of the world goods. Scottish Ministers are responsible for the enforcement of checks on animals, plants, plant products, product of animal origin and high risk foods not of animal origin in Scotland. Enforcement is delivered through inspection facilities located at Border Control Posts (BCPs). In most cases port operators will provide the necessary infrastructure. However, the two ferry terminals at Cairnryan do not have the physical space to accommodate additional facilities and so in accordance with the UK Border Operating Model, it is for government to provide facilities at an inland site. This procurement requirement relates to the delivery of Inception Workshops.
