Scottish Borders Council (SBC) has committed to the delivery of a new Business Centre in Hawick to replace the abandoned former Almstrong department store. The site covers 10 -12 Oliver Crescent and 4 - 5 Teviot Crescent, Hawick. As a consequence of this development the opportunity has also been taken to remove the neglected buildings on the site that have become an eyesore, and also to provide a landmark building that will generate local interest and aid commercial regeneration in the area.
