Procurement of on an ongoing maintenance contract for Nurse call system's across NHS GG&C. The system is critical to patient care and safety. Patients can request Nurse assistance by using either a hand held control unit or by pressing a call button located on a wall panel near the bed. Ward washroom areas are installed with a pull cord alarm call system. When system is activated by the user it triggers an alert at the system base unit located in the ward's Nurse station for action. Audible alarms and lighting may also be activated depending on alarms location, for example a shower room. The Nurse Call system is located at GGH, IRH, GRI, RAH and QEUH.

Procurement of on an ongoing maintenance contract for Nurse call system's across NHS GG&C. The system is critical to patient care and safety. Patients can request Nurse assistance by using either a hand held control unit or by pressing a call button located on a wall panel near the bed. Ward washroom areas are installed with a pull cord alarm call system. Specification of requirements : X2 Scheduled Service visit per site. Wards will remain open during this time, supplier must be able to complete these works with minimal patient disruption. Each 6 monthly system service and health check to include as a minimum the below elements : Full testing of all nurse call system and real time location devices, confirming correct operation of: Staff base indicators, tone sounders and visual indicators Examination of power supply units and confirmation that batteries and charging equipment is in good working order (where installed). Carry out visual inspection of over door lights, tone units and LCD indicators to verify that any occupancy changes have not affected system operation. A call out service is to be provided for equipment repairs that fall out with the two annual service visits. These and any spares used are to be billed out with the standard maintenance agreement. NHSGG&C require a 365 days-a-year, 24 hour response and as such the Contractor must provide details of a 24 hour contact number. The maximum response time from Contractor being notified of an emergency incident to being on site must be within 24 hours from the first call to attend. **BY REGISTERING AN INTEREST UNDER THIS NOTICE YOU WILL BE CONFIRMING YOU CAN SUPPLY THIS ENTIRE REQUIREMENT**. Due to the nature of the setting in which the nurse call system is located only suppliers who can demonstrate prior examples of working within a healthcare setting may apply. NHSGG&C Terms and Conditions will apply.
