Notice Description

Falkirk Council wishes to tender for the Supply, Installation and Laundering of Barrier Matting. Falkirk Council currently has barrier matting installed within a number of its Schools, Council Offices and Residential Properties. The successful service provider will continue to be commissioned under a single lot which will encompass the entirety of the Falkirk Council area and include all necessary school and office locations

Lot 1

The tender is for Supply, Installation and Laundering of Barrier Matting service. The successful contractor will be required to: a) Install Barrier Matting in all locations as listed on the schedule from the outset of the contract, all as per the sizes detailed in the schedule. b) Uplift, replace, and launder all Barrier Matting at the frequency of 10 times or 12 times per year and pre-arranged time agreed with the Authority's Representative for each location listed on the schedule from the outset of the contract. c) Hold an electronic master register identifying the Mat Size/Type, Launder Date and Site Location of all Barrier Matting in place across the Authority area. d) Present invoices for services provided on a monthly basis to the Authority's Representatives. e) Provide when required an emergency 24 hour response to uplift, replace and launder matting where unavoidable and unacceptable contamination has occurred. f) All operatives installing and replacing Barrier Matting must comply with all relevant Health and Safety requirements, including Covid 19 measures (wearing PPE, social distancing etc). Operatives must wear face coverings whilst in the Authorities buildings. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
