Dumfries & Galloway Council require a Company to carry out Insurance Inspections on approximately 200 properties within the geography of Dumfries & Galloway. The Contractor shall require to provide Documented Inspections, Thorough Examinations and LOLER Inspections on equipment which will be listed within the tender documents. This contract shall initially be for a period of 3 years with a possibility of a 1 year and 1 year extension The company would be required to supply a web-based Portal, to allow restricted access to all, compliance documentation & registers We will require the following:- Inspection A visual assessment usually visual of the safety related parts of plant which is not a thorough examination Thorough Examination A systematic and detailed examination of plant and safety critical parts or pressure plant and examination of same in accordance with a written scheme. This will require to be carried out a by a competent person in accordance with the statutory regulations. The results of these examination shall be supplied in a written report. The statutory regulations which would apply for thorough examination are as follows- -Safeguarding of Workers (Cranes and Lifting Appliances) -Safeguarding of Workers (Chains, Ropes and Lifting Gear) -Safeguarding of Workers (Electricity at work) -The Control of Major Accident Hazard Regulations (COMAH) -The Control of Substances Hazardous to Heath Regulations (as amended) (COSHH) -The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) -The Electricity at Work Regulations (EAWR) -The Health & Safety at Work (Lifts) Regulations -The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) -The Mines Regulations -The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) -The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations, Part IV (PUWER Part IV) -The Quarries regulations or The Workplace (H &S and Welfare) Regulations -The company would be required to supply a web- based Portal
