Summary of the contracting process

Aberdeenshire Council is initiating a procurement process for a Supplier Engagement Event aimed at creating frameworks for Lifecycle Component Replacement projects and minor works across their property estate. This process falls under the planning stage as of 19 November 2021 and targets the industry category of works. The event is scheduled for 2 December 2021, and it will be conducted virtually. Interested suppliers can engage with the council to be notified about forthcoming tender opportunities across six geographic wards of Aberdeenshire.

This procurement initiative presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in construction and maintenance services, particularly those specialising in minor works, lifecycle component replacements, and various trades such as roofing, plumbing, and electrical work. Companies are encouraged to apply for one or more of the available lots in the framework, allowing them to participate in multiple smaller projects rather than a single large contract. This approach is designed to diversify the supplier base and enhance competition, making it an ideal scenario for both established and emerging businesses aiming for growth in the public procurement sector.
