The Covid-19 pandemic directly impacted CBS Revenues and Benefits resources. An unforeseen spike in overall workload was subsequently created, resulting in a significant increase in the volume of work outstanding. Delays in processing council tax and benefits can result in incorrect bills being issued to customers and delays in benefits payments being received. Given the immediate need to clear the backlog of records, external support is being sought to support processing of the outstanding workload. It was identified that the required support had to be capable of clearing 10,000 council tax processes and 10,000 housing benefit (HB) and council tax reduction (CTR) processes over a period of approximately 3 months Anticipated activities include but are not limited to the following: Council tax change of address processing Council tax exemption and discount processing HB/CTR new claims application processing HB/CTR change of circumstance processing
