Notice Description
The requirement is for the removal of existing floor finishes, preparation of surfaces and laying of replacement flooring and accessories in properties across North Ayrshire including Arran and Cumbrae. The requirement has been split into 2 lots; Lot 1 - Non-housing work Lot 2 - Housing work The scope of works to be carried out includes the following; - Removing of existing floor finishes - Preparation of floors to receive floor finishes - Laying new floor finishes (including lino, carpeting, carpet tiles) and accessories - Environmental disposal and recycling of old materials - Minor repairs to existing floor coverings
Lot Information
Non-housing Work
This requirement is for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repairs of floor finishes across approximately 250 non-housing properties including schools, town halls and a variety of non-housing Council buildings. The work covers but is not limited to: - Removal of existing floor finishes - Preparation of floors to receive floor finishes - Laying new floor finishes and accessories - Carrying out minor repairs to existing floor finishes - Carrying out project works within non-housing properties - Environmental disposal and recycling of old materials Any emergency works required under this Lot will require to be completed within 4 hours. Urgent works will require to be completed typically between 1 and 7 days Works required under this lot will also include Routine and Planned work.
Renewal: There will be a further two options to extend, each for a period of up to 12 months. Extensions will be at the sole discretion of North Ayrshire Council and subject to satisfactory performance and funding.
Housing WorkThis requirement is for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repairs of floor finishes across approximately 12,939 domestic dwellings (this figure does not include any new build housing projects currently under construction). This requirement is for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repairs of floor finishes. The work covers but is not limited to: - Removal of existing floor finishes - Preparation of floors to receive floor finishes - Laying new floor finishes and accessories - Carrying out minor repairs to existing floor finishes - Carrying out project works within houses such as kitchen/bathroom flooring renewal, wet rooms and/or aids & adaptations. - Environmental disposal and recycling of old materials Works under this Lot will have varying completion timescales depending on the urgency of the requirement. Completion timescales will range from 6 days to 365 days.
