Provision of a Central Greenock Development Strategy
Notice Description
1.1. Inverclyde Council are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified consultancy team to prepare a development strategy for the Central Greenock study area (as outlined in section 3) with a view to enabling housing led physical regeneration. 1.2. This study will ensure a joined up vision for the area is articulated, taking a holistic view of multiple key sites located within the Central Greenock area. This is with a view of encouraging multi-tenure development and encouraging repopulation and regeneration within Inverclyde. The study will be informed by an analysis of the existing land use strategy, site deliverability, land valuation, market appraisals, an assessment of the housing market and local housing need and demand. In addition, the study will consider the environmental attractiveness of the Central Greenock area and how this can impact on attracting development to the area.
